20 kVA Diesel Standby Generator

The generator has heavy insulated doors that are easy to lock and secure. The doors contact automotive grade weather stripping that prevent noise from vibration and increase sound proofing. Your generator stays dry, quiet and secure. The same twin doors are found on the other side too. Doing an oil change is much easier then on your car. Radiator fluid and oil can easily be drained and each have an easy to gain access valve and extension.

Inside this generator is a powerful and virtually maintenance free heavy duty diesel engine. When the doors are closed and you stand back a little you may not even know it's running. That's because the exhaust is clear. Diesel also produces less harmful emissions then a gasoline generator!

A key unlocks the hinged electrical panel. Look at how easy it is to gain access to fuses, wiring and all electrical components. Everything is protected, secured and kept dry. Every wire is labeled and easy to identify today or ten years down the road.

Looking through the control panel window you can easily see all generator controls, gauges and operating status.
The highly corrosion resistant enclosure is powder coated with anti-rust paint. Zinc plated and Stainless steel hardware is also used.

Automatic Transfer Switch

An automatic transfer switch is included with this generator. The Automatic Transfer Switch is a control circuit that senses mains voltage. When utility power is interrupted, it starts up the generator, disconnects the load from the utility and connects it to the generator. It then continues to monitor mains voltage, and when it is restored, switches your household wiring from the generator back to the utility. When the generator is disconnected it normally goes into a cool-down process and then automatically shuts down. You can use your own transfer switch or bypass it if not required.

Control Panel

We believe our customers purchase diesel generators for their reliability, durability and ease of use. While some electronics is necessary to control generator functions, we believe simplicity is an important factor and is why we built this generator as shown here. Our generator controller is very efficient. It does all that is required. All controls and gauges are easy to read. There is nothing complicated about our products. Virtually anyone with little if any mechanical or electrical background can service our products with our without our help.

Our generator panel includes an electronic smart generator controller. The purpose of the controller is to automatically start and stop the generator engine. It checks for generator status and reports back any fault condition. The generator controller will automatically shut down the engine if necessary when a fault condition occurs. Shutdown may happen for low oil pressure or for under or over engine speed limits. If you are lowing the RPM to switch to 50 Hz the user can select the change and prevent false alarm and use it on either system. The controller can also manage engine preheating functions if connected.

Large easy to read gauges for Voltage, Frequency and Amperage are easily viewed with lockable access door open or closed. Status lights also monitor and show presence of hydro mains and generator power conditions.

Other gauges indicate coolant temperature, oil pressure battery voltage and engine hour meter. The hour meter takes the guess work out of knowing when it is time to change the oil for example.

Very simple and easy to operate in either manual mode or fully automatic startup. Use it with the built in Transfer Switch or bypass it if you wish.

Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)

Our customers like having this Automatic Voltage Regulator included and installed. It maintains output voltage to +- 0.5 volts. Because it is easy adjustable you can even adjust it to voltages for other countries or fine tune it for your specific application. If the generator was installed far from your home you could increase the voltage to make up for any line loss for example. Currently It is setup for Normal North American 120/240 volts at 60 hz.

The automatic voltage regulator helps to produce clean power that is safer for computers and other home electronics.

The end result is a product that is easy to service and can be supported worldwide.  We may from time to time change the design of our enclosure, type of paint used, wiring methods, minor components such as switches and meters during each production run. The changes should be in appearance only as the engine and alternator specifications remain the same unless noted here. Our interest is to bring to our customers the best components available and to improve constantly the quality.

When you look behind the electrical panel you will notice we pay great attention to quality and design. Every wire is labled and each component is easy to access. If your generator should ever require service our design makes it easy to work on.
